Jott – Beta BlackBerry Application – Yanked Offline

Jottblackberrybb_screen3A friend of mine, Shmully, pointed out to me that Jott had just released a beta of a Jott BlackBerry application. As I later read on PinStack the Jott software was released and looked pretty good. The new Jott application would let you convert voice to text and reply to emails with voice transcription. It does not completely control your device but it does handle email.

When trying to download it from www.jott.com/bb I ran across the following message on the Jott website:

The Jott for BlackBerry Beta is temporarily closed to new users due to overwhelming demand. We expect to be back up by this coming Friday 3/14/2008, so please check back. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi folks,
Sorry to have to close the door so fast… the demand surprised us a little, and we found some glitches that are unacceptable to us (and we think to you). We will have this back up very soon.

If you want us to notify you when registration is open again, please send an email to bb(at sign)jott.com.

Again, my apologies. We’re really psyched about this use of Jott, and can’t wait to share it with more of you.

Thanks,

John

I guess I will have to wait until Friday to put this baby through its paces. As it says above just send an email to [email protected] and they will email you when the client is back online. Until then all I can tell you is that the application will be free during the Beta period and will be a paid service afterwards. Otherwise compatibility is with the 8100, 8300, & 8800 series devices.
