I know many people use the renown Beyond411 to do quick lookups on their BlackBerry but I just found a piece of software that caters better to certain uses. The new vTap beta for WikiPedia does an amazing job of providing search results as you type. It shows you the results and when you click on them it gives you about a line of text such as a definition and then shows you up to 5 different links below.
As you can see on the left I searched for the word “Blog.” In the first result I clicked on it and it gave me 5 options: Search on WikiPedia, Search on Wiktionary, Search for News, Pronunciation, and the website if applicable. I am not sure where it is drawing all of its information from but I personally loved the Pronunciation option. If you click on the button within a few seconds you hear a woman pronouncing the word you selected. I found this to be a very useful tool and its connections to WikiPedia mobile and Wiktionary were very useful.
