Seidio seems to be on a streak when it comes to releasing new BlackBerry extended batteries. The latest in the lineup is an extended battery for the 8800. As they did with the 8300/Curve the new battery is only a slight 10-15% extra battery life. The reason the increase is not more is because they managed to fit more juice into a battery that is the same size as the original BlackBerry battery. This means that you do not need a new battery cover or an unsightly bump sticking out of the back of your BlackBerry. Technically the jump in battery life is from the standard 1400mAH to the extended 1600mAH. The battery is going for $39.95 on Seidio’s website and is available now. This battery is great for users like me who need that extra bit of juice to make your BlackBerry last those extra few hours without being charged.
