Eric Savitz of TechTraderDaily wrote an interesting article yesterday breaking down RBC Capital analyst Mike Abramsky’s comments. We usually stay away from the stock market news on BerryReview but I found Mike’s predictions interesting:
Abramsky is especially high on the prospects for the Pearl 2 phone, which he expects to launch before year end. He says the phone will be “a significant update, featuring a “stylish design, [faster] data speeds, iPhone-like browsing and compelling features, including a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and trackball navigation. He thinks the company could sell 5 million of the new phones in the next 12 months, versus 2 million Pearls sold since launch a year ago.
Thats a very nice pat on the back for RIM from a major analyst. I hope RIM can live up to the expectations with the upcoming release of the BlackBerry Pearl 2. Especially if RIM plans on selling 150% more BlackBerry Pearls in the coming 12 months.
