Thanks to the guys at BlackBerryCool.com we were tipped of to a service announcement by PressDisplay that allows you to view over 500 newspapers from 70 countries in 37 languages all from your BlackBerry Browser. They have some big names here such as USA Today and the Washington post but they are missing some of my favorites such as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Ironicly they have the Asian and European Wall Street Journal. The mobile pages actually load quickly (compared to their slow loading homepage) even with the large amount of content. They have a dedicated BlackBerry client in development but currently your only option is to read articles in your browser. You can use the service without a subscription but the code above will allow you to go into the archives of many of these newspapers. My favorite feature is that when you subscribe to a newspaper it offers you a dedicated RSS feed of the newspaper articles that you can use in any of the other BlackBerry RSS readers such as Viigo and PicoNews. We will be keeping an eye on this once the new dedicated BlackBerry PressReader is released.
