New Free Agua Theme for 8100, 8300, 8700 & 8800

The folks at eVeek have just released a free new ‘today plus’ theme called Agua for Blackberry 81xx, 83xx, 87xx & 88xx devices. This theme is just part of their roll out of upcoming themes made specially for Blackberry handhelds running OS 4.5. What I like about this theme besides it’s function of a today screen, is it’s clean style and cool neon icons. Another winning theme from eVeek…and it’s free.

Zip/OTA files can be accessed via eVeek.com

Onetsp.mobi - Great Recipe Manager With Mobile Access

We have mentioned Mike Brittans free translation tool before but he recently branched out and released another useful web application. The website is called OneTsp (One teaspoon) and allows you to add & manage your recipes online and view them from your BlackBerry browser. You can also browse and search for recipes entered by other users.

Pretty cool if you are into cooking and tend to forget the ingredients like me… Check out the desktop version at www.onetsp.com and the mobile website from www.onetsp.mobi.

Google Mobile Helps You Follow Elections On Your Phone

Google Mobile’s official blog just posted a few tips on how to follow the 2008 US elections on your BlackBerry. Nothing groundbreaking here but it does help consolidate all the queries if you are trying to keep on top of the latest and greatest.

So far they are recommending:

  • Mobile Search for Obama & McCain
  • Mobile News
  • Mobile Reader
  • Links to Mobile YouTube
  • Mobile maps

Check it out for yourself at this link: m.google.com/elections

Personally I think that the list we compiled earlier this month is better but its always good to have options.

Do You Have A USB Port In Your Car? Do You Want One?

I was in my friends car a bit back and I noticed that he has an easy USB charging port built into the central dashboard. Pretty cool stuff is what I though. That is when I read this article on Endgadget and decided to research what it would take to hook up a car with some USB charging goodness. Its not like it is so hard to get a DC charger but it would be a cool way to make use of all of these extra MiniUSB cables we have lying around.

4portUSB Engadget pointed out that USBFever is allowing you to preorder a 4 USB port charger with a DC passthrough for $22.99. After I did a little bit more digging in the comments and around the web I discovered 3 other USB chargers for your car that look pretty slick.

I am still surprised about how USB became a charging standard but at least we have a standard. Let me know if you spot some other slick charging goodies for your car.

Olive Tree Bible Beta Now Lets You Store To Your SD Card

olivetree Ron let me know that the latest beta 4.0 from Olive Tree now lets you store their Bibles to your SD card. We mentioned the original version of Olive Tree a bit back and since then they finally listened to users who wanted SD support. I think this may have come out a few weeks ago but this is the first I have heard of it. Olive Tree has a few free bibles and more paid version which makes it a pretty good resource. The forums claim that they will be adding a few features in the near future including some more free bibles. I don’t know if this is any good but let me know how it turns out if you download it.

Check them out at the links below.

Let us know if you found any others. We will keep on twiddling our thumbs…
