I just ran across this cool sounding application on TechCrunch. This application is not for consumers but rather for enterprise users whose companies use Rearden for their travel plans. If you are looking for a personal travel assistant check out www.worldmatelive.com.

The software has some really cool features. Especially the fact that it automatically syncs your travel itinerary with your Berry. The software is tied into your Rearden corporate account so it gets you total itinerary including flights, hotels, rental cars, dinner reservations, basketball game tickets. It also updates if anything has changed. It gives you weather, flight delays, and soon to be Zagat ratings. TechCrunch even mentions that they are working on supporting airline or event tickets sent as a bar code image to your phone.

Now I only wish there was a personal consumer version…
Check out the press release here if you want more info [PDF]. They also have a flash presentation on their main page.

Originally VirtualViews came up with their AudioPOP application that let you download audio attachments before RIM added that feature natively. Now they have once again stepped in front of RIM by enabling you to download video and mp3 attachments up to 5MB from your BlackBerry email. The cool part is you can download it directly to your SD card.

It seems to use your login to your email server to check your email and download the attachments. It also lets you download MP3, WAV, M4A, WMA, MP4, 3GP, MOV and many others right out of the box. You can also email yourself JAD & COD files for easy installs. It also supports WiFi for faster attachment downloading.
You can pick it up for $16.99 at the BerryReview Store. There is also a free trial for 14 days or 30 downloads to try it out. I know this is a niche product so I recommend going with the trial. If you head to the store link from your BlackBerry you will be able to download the trial OTA.
Features:
- Download Audio, Video and BlackBerry Applications
- Save attachments to SD Card or Internal Memory
- Supports multiple attachments
- Receive attachments from another BlackBerry
- Integrates with BlackBerry Messages program
- Download any file type to your BlackBerry
- Playback through the Built in media player
- Download attachments up to 5MB
- Add or Delete file extensions
- Supports SSL & TLS connections
- Auto Download in background
- Audio & Popup Alerts
- Supports WiFi

This has to be one of the closest Windows Mobile today screens I have seen for BlackBerry so far. Seems like a great application for Windows Mobile converts. I just wish RIM would come up with one themselves that is not a theme.
The application is available now from their website for $19.95. It not only does the basics but if you buy the expansion packs it adds news and stock streaming to the mix. I like how you can dig down into each menu option and see more than one email, calendar, task, and call log.

Check out more screenshots on the product page. Hopefully a review will be coming soon.

SpoofCard is the ultimate prank calling tool. It is a phone card that allows you to set the caller ID and phone number you are calling from to be just about anything. You can make a call to RIM and pretend to be calling from Verizon asking when they will be getting the Bold…
Or you can just use it to scare the hell out of your coworkers by calling from the white house. So far it is completely legal but I would not go around pretending to be law enforcement. It also has a really funny feature that lets you change your voice from a male to female and vice versa. You can even record your exploits!
Check out some of the crazy stories SpoofCard has on their website!!!
Just so you know SpoofCard mentions:
Your financial, personal and call records are all confidential and are untraceable. However, if there is illegal activity and we are served with a subpoena, we will cooperate with the court.
From their FAQ you can use any 10 digit number. Not only will the number show up but also the Name registered for that number would automatically appear.
You can make a free SpoofCard call by using this form on their website to try it out. Let me know how it goes.
Check it out at: www.spoofcard.com

Akakios of Themes4BB.com has released a very cool looking theme for the Blackberry 8300 series called ‘Plasma Blue’ ZEN. This is a very stylish theme; colors are luminous and icons are very unique - and is universal enough to be used by males and females alike. Great work Akakios!
OTA download is available on Themes4BB at this link.
