I know this is not a new piece of software so hold your horses. I got two emails from readers recommending it and I noticed we never mentioned it on BerryReview… So I thought what the hell.
Boopsie, like Beyond411, lets you do searches with the application trying to autocomplete the rest of your search. Not much more than that but a useful application none the less.
It lets you easily search everything from Wikipedia & sports to the Amazon Grocery
You can get a demo of it before you download at this link. You can download the application from:

Everybody always gives us a hard time when we mention yet another weather app but I don’t care! I believe in variety being the flavor of life. This latest weather app was created as an internal project by the good guys at NorthCubed and they have kindly offered it for free to the general public. It requires OS 4.2.1+ but has not been tested on OS 4.5 yet. The app looks very good and I liked the fact that it gave you the forecast in words instead of pictures.

From the application description:
A simple application that displays weather data for your city. You may have varying degrees of success if you use this outside the UK/Europe but it’s another internal test project made in an afternoon and therefore we do not offer any support and have no plans to add zipcode/postcode or any other functionality.
Note - this application uses the Google Weather API which has not been formally released for public use, Google may change or remove the service at any time causing the application to stop functioning.
Download using your BlackBerry browser: http://northcubed.com/installers/com_northcubed_northforecast_app.jad
Thanks Stefano for sending this one in!

Do you remember the days when it was impossible to get an instant messenger for BlackBerry since there were no clients? I remember looking for one for my 7230 back in the day. The best I got that year was Webmessenger.

Well, the tables have turned since and now we have an overabundance of IM applications for the BlackBerry. This latest is from Mundu and seems to be pretty cool for a commercial app. Especially since it only costs $11 for life. There is a 5-day trial, so if you’re unhappy with your current IM app, it can’t hurt to try this one out. I don’t think this is in the same league as Jivetalk and IM+, but who am I to judge.
You can pick up the application at this link in the store. Or if you want to download the trial just go to this link from your Berry and click the try button.
Features include:
Interoperability
View and chat with all your contacts across AIM®, Yahoo®, MSN®, Google® Talk, ICQ® , and Jabber® within a single, easy-to-use interface.
Cross Conferencing
Invite friends, colleagues or clients across AOL, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN to conference within a single chat window.
Smart Group Management
Organize your contacts by services or define your own groups with your contacts across services.
Expressive Chat Using Rich Text, Emoticons & Customizable Status
Customize the color and style of your chat text with a range of exciting options including graphic emoticons and the ability to set customizable presence status across IM services.
Background Mode Support
Stay connected on IM while you are on the phone or accessing other phone functions. Choose to be alerted by sound, pop-up, or vibration when your contacts come online or when you receive an IM.
Customized Preference
Notification via sound, pop-up, vibration etc.

Zach (the Z Man) just released a slick new theme that breaks the boundaries of standard BlackBerry themes. This theme reminds me of some of the Plasmic 4.3 themes that got pulled recently.

The theme is like many other Vista themes with cool translucent areas. The icons remind me of the iPhone. But the surprising part is the home screen that hast the coolest icons that just look great. Sadly there is no trial available but I highly recommend checking out the theme if you like Vista themes. It even has the iPhone looking “swipe to unlock” look on the locked screen. If only he could get that to work…

You can pick it up for $7 at the links below for your appropriate device:

e-Mobile just let me know that they released another BlackBerry app today. It is called e-Mobile Contacts and looks really cool. Sadly there is no trial but you can pick it up for $14.95 from Handango.com. You can catch more screenshots at this link.

Features:
- Powerful contact management, tightly integrated with BlackBerry address book
- Search contacts by pressing the trackball
- Advanced T9 search and filter capability
- Email & SMS with one click

Seems useful if you are having issues with RIM’s native address book. Hopefully one of the team will want to review it soon.
