I know this site has been reviewed here before but I just couldn’t help adding my thoughts, especially since my own Curve needed some serious pimping. (seems like pimping isn’t just exclusive to Sidekicks anymore ;0)
If you’re not familiar with the site, DecalGirl.com offers skins for the Blackberry Pearl, Curve and 8800 (as well as a variety of other electronics). For the Curve alone, they now offer a choice of well over 100 skins (something like 140 is more accurate) in some of the most unique designs I’ve ever seen. And don’t let the name DecalGirl fool you, they have plenty of cool styles for both males and females a like. The great thing about these skins is they are easily removed without leaving any sticky residue. So you can change your skin as often as you change your hairstyle (hopefully that’s more than once per year).
Most Blackberry skins cost about $6.99 (Use promotion code PSPHOME to get 15% off). I am not sure where the discount originally came from but it does work. Ordering is easy with a credit card or Paypal account and skins usually ship within 1-2 business days. Since most skins come with a FREE matching wallpaper, be sure to look on your decal for instructions on how to go about downloading it.
I loved my experience with DecalGirl.com so much I even let my 8 year old son order one for his PSP (about $9.99). The only problem is that every day I have to hear him ask, “are my skins in yet, are my skins in yet?” which can get a little tiring - but then I just gaze upon my newly pimped Curve and all is well in the world again :0)

This latest theme from Visto Themes has some nice and large icons and a really slick header bar. I am not the biggest fan of the bland background but that is easy to change. The large icons are a matter of choice. Personally I like the smaller ones but the larger ones are easier on the eyes. Especially if you only use 18 or so icons compared to the 24 usually found in smaller icon themes from Visto.

All in all this is a nice and slick theme. I loved the nice and clean homescreen. The colors of the text are perfect and easily allow you to change the background. You can pick it up for $6 from VistoThemes.com.

I ran into a really cool theme that tries to reinterpret one of my favorite themes yesterday. This theme VODAfauxN is Constabl’s Zen version of the Vodaphone green today theme that I use quite a bit. The theme might not have the same features but the polish looks really nice. Not to mention the fact that green is my favorite color.

The icons are stock but I like the color and layout. The red on green look is also growing on me since it actually looks really good.

The theme is available on Themes4BB with OTA downloads for each. Desktop Manager downloads are not available. The developer has mentioned that his is accepting donations from PayPal if you are interested.

Stefano of BBworld just sent me a knowledge base article from RIM that just made my jaw drop. Granted I have never actually noticed this issue before but I just cannot believe it exists!
From RIM’s Knowledge Base
Reply to all is not received by more than 32 recipients
Details: When an email message is received by more than 32 recipients, the email message on the BlackBerry smartphone displays a truncated list of 32 recipient email addresses. If the BlackBerry smartphone user sends a reply to all recipients, only the 32 recipients on the truncated list will receive the reply.
Note: When sending email messages from the BlackBerry smartphone, there is no limit to the number of email addresses that can be added to each of the To, Bcc, and Cc fields. When receiving email messages, only 32 email addresses can be displayed in the To and Cc fields.
This is by design.
Seriously RIM! It is by design that you can only reply to 32 people in a mailing list?
The only thing I can think of as a reason for this restriction is that people might use it to send spam by sending mail through the RIM servers this way. The problem with that theory is that if that was the case this limitation should not exist for BES and Novell users also!
Anybody got any other ideas?

There are some days that I just need a quick laugh to make it through the rest of the day. On days like those I usually resort to back dated Dilbert comics but sometimes I run out.
Which reading an email I got today from igloo.mobi I noticed a cool new website that I had to try called LOLS.mobi.
The website is really cool and formats perfectly on the BlackBerry. Some of the jokes might get you fired for sexual harassment if you told them to a coworker but there are quite a few clean jokes in their own category.
If your like me and just need to take a break every once in awhile this is a great site to have on your bookmark list. Just go to http://www.LOLS.mobi.
You can see what the page looks like to the left.

I just got a heads up that bPlay and Magmic are releasing a new version of Texas Hold’em King. The release is set for the beginning of next week but that is not definite. There are some seriously cool new features being added to this version of Texas Hold’em that I am sure many of you will appreciate. I know I still play Texas Hold’em King 2 on my BlackBerry so I cant wait for the new release.

Magmic has really pumped up the interactivity and multi-player aspect of the game. In the new version you will have more control over such things as avatars and integrated buddylists. You will also be able to access your gamezone profile from the game to see your achievements.

Check out the screenshots in this post to get an idea of the new game and keep your eyes peeled next week for the release!

Love reading in your spare time? Want to catch a quick witty joke or poem before your meeting?
Look no further, this free eBook reading and sharing Java application from Wattpad is pretty cool. Wattpad is all about the community. Content is uploaded by community members and read by others. You yourself can upload content as well after creating a free account.
After downloading the Java app from m.wattpad.com it’s very simple to use with a friendly user interface.

As you can see you can also change the background and text colors to your liking from a list of preset choices, along with the text size. I wish more applications had this feature.
Getting an eBook is easy, with two ways of doing so. First you could go visit the Wattpad.com site on your home computer, find a story you’d like to read, and grab it’s code on the right hand side of the page. Then go back to the application on your phone and punch it in. Wattpad does the rest. Or secondly, you could just find it via the application’s internal browser:

Getting the story via “Read Now”, either from the website or the applications internal browser is very fast.
Downloading the entire story to “Read Offline”, however is a bit more involved. If you select this feature, the application will launch the appropriate page in your BlackBerry browser, where you can choose several different download options. If your limited on space you could download the book in parts, or just download the Full version. The stories are in .jad format, and once downloaded, you simply select Run from the download screen, and it will launch the story in Wattpad, where you can read it at your leisure.
I assume that it can be easy to forget how many stories you’ve downloaded after a while, thus filling up your phones memory pretty quickly, so keep an eye out on that! So far I haven’t found any major issues with this application, so hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I have. Happy reading!
