Die Herausforderung ist zu den Einzelpersonen, die Resident sind, oder zu den Geschäften mit einem Büro geöffnet, gelegen in Nordamerika (ausschließlich der Provinz von Quebec) und in Europa. (Dieses schließt traurig unseren Freund Neil aus, der heraus in Australien ist)
Der Wettbewerb ist vage über, was genau Sie gewinnen, aber ihre Beschreibung ist:
Es gibt eine Anzahl von Preis-, die kurz einschließlich verkündet werden, KANTE-Vorrichtungen, Bargeld, Firmascheinwerfer und mehr. Alle Finalisten empfangen: Freie Ausrichtung für Entwickler-Konferenz und freie Geräte.
Wettbewerb fängt offiziell am 19. August 2008 an, aber sie nehmen bereits Anwendungen an. Alle Anwendungen müssen für den 30. September eingereicht werden. Drei Finalisten werden für jede Kategorie vorgewählt, und Finalisten teilten 1. Oktober 2008 mit. Finalisten werden mit freiem Hotel/Ausrichtung zur Entwickler-Konferenz versehen. Sieger der Konkurrenzen werden bei der Blackberry-Entwickler-Konferenz während des Abendfalls verkündet.

Sadly the latest new section is still only showing the launch announcement in June. I was hoping to see an announcement of the companies they were funding initially.
None of you ever get tired of seeing more FREE themes do you? I didn’t think so. This batch is the latest and greatest from BlackBerryThemes.co.uk. Michael Small, one of the theme artists, told me that he was working hard to get these to you guys OTA, but it hasn’t quite happened yet. So in the meantime, these themes are only available via Desktop Download.
This round we have a couple of Cool Car Themes, an Olympics Theme as well as a great Sky Custom Theme. What you see below is what you get as of now, L themes, bottom dock themes, and the Sky one is a cool bottom dock custom theme.

Bplay is really coming down hard on the Disney fan base with their latest line of childhood themes. The latest in the lineup are 2 themes, one of Pooh & Tigger and one of Mickey & Minnie. I really like the design of these themes since they are full of clean cut lines, subdued icons, and sharp backgrounds that fit together perfectly. I will probably be picking one of these up for my wife…
Judy sent me a link to Howard Forums where Wolwol has posted a nice and blurry comparison shot of the Javelin. It is up side by side with the 8800 and the 8300. Now that you can see the size comparison you can tell why some people are preferring the smaller size over the 3G in the Bold. Personally I think those people are crazy but as they say “different strokes for different folks…”
YouMail sent out an email to all of their users letting them know about a few updates and features that they have added. YouMail is doing a wonderful job of rounding out their feature set which should be well received by their users. My favorite new feature is the addition of voicemail spam filter and a homescreen shortcut.

Electric Pocket just let me know about a new application they released for BlackBerry. It is similar to the Picture Dial application we mentioned last week but instead of a grid it uses a coverflow-like interface. You have to check out the video to understand what I mean.
Essentially you add contacts from your address book and give them a picture either from the camera or SD card. The interesting twist is that if you install their Facebook application then it will also import a contacts Facebook picture which is pretty slick.
UPDATE: There seems to be a serious problem with this version of the application. Many readers are reporting that once they install it they can no longer log into WorldMate from their BlackBerry. Please hold off for now.
Tom just let me know that WorldMate has updated its software to version 2.0. There is not a crazy amount of new features in the latest version. The main additions are the ability to book hotels from your BlackBerry and official support for the BlackBerry Bold/9000.
