Would love to see some apps some time...TODAY! It would be nice to read the NYT or WSJ digital version, read my kindle books, nook ebooks would be nice too, etc, etc, etc. on my PB.
I like that we are seeing new apps daily in App World but...its just that my PB is longing for so much more. Right now it is a nice portable toy, far from being a laptop replacement...although I have been saying that from the beginning :)
I knew going in that my PB wouldn't replace my laptop yet. I work too much on spreadsheets and heavy graphic powerpoints and the PB wouldn't be able to create those, but it can display them nicely! So it's a good complement.
I'm interested in the Zinio app as I like reading magazines and I haven't really found an app yet that does it well.
There is a magazine app on PB right now called Other Edition. It's kinda lame... bleh.
I love my Kobo but I wouldn't mind kindle only because they have a couple of books I can't get on Kobo.
I actually would like to see additional functionality for Sheets to Go, Docs to Go and Slide Show to go.
I like the BB Reuters news app. That's pretty good and the Globe and Mail app for Canadian users is good.
I love my Nook!!!!!! Ohhhh the things I've done to that baby.... Lol.. She runs EVERYTHING now :) lol
Ashley which Nook do you have? The colour one? I was looking at one of those but the reviews were only warmish on them and I had my heart set on my PB. So what can your Nook do? Is it about the same size as the PB?

Yes I have the color Nook and have it hacked to run both Kindle and Android apps from it! Lol... Love it... :) very smooth, and even better I bought CL used for only $75 lol
Ooohh, I'm impressed.. I'll have to check it out when I get back from my vacation. If I find one can you help me with hacking it?

Yes I can... It's VERY easy... And once more makes u thankful for RIM's security lol

Also, aren't we close to the 60 day mark for native PIM apps? Tell us that you have some insider info on that too Ronen, please?! lol

I got a chance to listen in on RIM's dev webinar (thankf god for the call-in numbers and blue tooth earpieces lol for which I was able to listen a lil at work) lol they didn't say a whole lot by means of releases or what not, completely blowing off even discussing the 9900 release lol but they DID say playbook WILL have it's email this summer as planned... 60day time frame? Most likely FAIL... But 'summer' *thumbs up* dude seemed pretty pleased w/that remark... Lol sounded confident so I fully believe we will receive our PIM features as promised BEFORE we get to unbox our 9900's lol

For some reason I just can't use Kobo. I've looked at it before, for device and on the web. Don't know if its the RIM app or Kobo itself...
A workaround is to install the Playbook Android app and then install Kindle. This was how I got my Kindle fix.
I see all these work arounds, but I'm just not confident enough in myself to try them. I'll wait til its official.
