I have been using the Torch for about 2 weeks now. A couple of days ago I was cleaning my screen when I noticed a Piece of dust I couldn't wipe off. To my horror I realized this was because the dust was under the screen. A couple more days and there is a little more. It's not a big issue now but it could end up that way due to more accumulation.
I'm wondering if this is an issue for others. If so, have you been able to use your brilliant mind to resolve it?
Maybe the "torch" should have a button that sends a "torch" through the inside of the screen and singes all pesky dust to oblivion. Not only would this look amazing, it would legitimize the name! ......right?

Wow, the second half of your post actually made me laugh. Interesting though though. And no, I have not had this issue. Me and my wife both have the torch and never see this. It has to be something look from the back end. Dust accumulates around the batter and such and with a small opening could get in. It is still covered under manufacturer's warranty...get it fixed quick before it shorts out.

A real dust seeking 'torch' function would be amazing. I agree with mkconnors. Try to get it replaced as its still under warranty. Totally take advantage of that as you're totally out of luck when it has expired.
It must be a manufacturers defect if it is happening so soon...or at all. Even if it not affecting the function.

No such problems on mine either. I'm with the other two n this one - sounds like a product defect. Bring it back in, since it's within 30 days you shouldn't have too much trouble exchanging it in-store (worst case you might have to get stubborn.)

Well, if you are with ATT, they will exchange it within the first year as long as there is no water damage.

If you go past that, they'll handle it by mail. You don't do without the phone - you receive the replacement before sending yours in - but it's still more convenient if you catch it early. Also, you don't get grilled to the point where you feel like you're b eing interrogated when you can deal with it in-store ;)

Yep, definitely exchange it within the first 30 days. I have a friend with same problem and they traded no questions asked. Corporate stores are easier than authorized retailers too I've learned

They will charge you like 500 bucks penalty if you lag past the 5 day timeframe though.

Still, I find the phone interview process to be ... annoying, as when I had to do it the agent approached it with an undercurrent of "this is somehow your fault, and I'm going to find a way to prove it".

The process itself absolutely sucks! But there are many ways around those questions...i.e. escalation that usually work. The top things you need to be sure of is that you have NO WATER DAMAGE. Other than that, they have to exchange it.

UPDATE:
Gozaim let me know that he went to Telus yesterday and successfully exchanged his 'dusty' Torch for a shiny new one.We speculated that the one he originally had could have been a refurb as he got it through work.
