    I have skype on my verizon BB 9930 but it's exclusive to Verizon.

    There other voip options available I think, but I'll let others post on that since I don't know them well.

    I had Skype on my 9850 it installed perfect but it was buggy.

    Native skype client is Verizon only.

    Best bet is IM+ or similar for skype chat.

    The Skype BlackBerry application was created by a partnership between Skype and Verizon. It only works on Verizon BlackBerry devices, just on the Verizon network and only in the US.
