It looks like RIM is really serious about tapping into the potential of China’s population of over 1 billion. They just confirmed that RIM Asia Pacific Vice President of Government Affairs Gregory Shea will now get an even longer title. His additional role will be China region president. This is along with a new China subsidiary including RIM’s headquarters in Beijing along with Shanghai and Guangzhou.
RIM must really be aiming at that 500+ million subscribers on China Mobile. I wish them luck! Its also some great news after RIM finally settled their certification in Indonesia.
