Sorry for my long hiatus, but I really wanted to share this. We all know that RIM has a huge uphill battle when it comes to winning the mindshare of the media and masses, but Gizmodo has just called the PlayBook 2.0 OS the biggest surprise of CES!!! That is exciting to hear, and I hope to read more of this. Anyway, here is the link:
Praise for the PlayBook from Gizmodo

It is hard to believe that Gizmodo would actually have something good to say about RIM. The new OS really does look great though - better if you have a BB too. They'll need to market the Bridge heavily so they can draw people back from the dark side.

Bottomline.
I think the wave is starting.
As we have been saying for a while. It wasn't and isn't too late for RIM to make a comeback
What OS 2.0 shows is that RIM can launch a solid BB10 product which has made it very hard to say they are going to go out of business.
We are sitting here January 12, 2012.
In 8 months we could have BB10 phones in our hands.
It finally clicked with everyone that RIM isn't going out of business in the next 8 months... neither is their marketshare going to drop that much in the next 8 months
What they are all slowly realizing is that BB10 will likely be a solid launch and it will launch with Blackberry still being a popular worldwide brand

Nice to hear but just as they labeled it "The Biggest SURPRISE"...wasn't a surprise to me or I'm sure anyone who uses BlackBerry for anything more than their next technology review article.
Again, I sense most of the flack coming from 2 parties: stock analysts and tech media. Neither has be a BlackBerry user to have an opinion/do their job. They're standing on the sidelines offering their analysis yet have never played the game.

I would never go somewhere else. And even though it wasn't a surprise to any of us, I think that RIM is going to be surprising a lot of Media folks over the next couple of months. And that's fine by me.

Ehh...could care less because all BGR and co ultimately wants is more readers. Best news/coverage comes from those who are also everyday users

Agree with Brian, I think we are passed the bottom for RIM.

I agree with that too, the worst has finally passed us. The long uphill journey is beginning, bug I'm hella excited for it.
