so I just set up a mobile fusion server that has sql and blackberry device service also on it. When I go to the Mobile Fusion page I can only see my existing BES Express server with phones attached to it but I cant see the newly created Mobile Fusion MDM Server…. Why wont the new server show up?

Also when I go to activate my playbook using the Web Desktop Manager for mobile fusion I get "The BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager is unable to complete this action. Please contact your administrator for more information." Why cant I activate it?

    Thanks for any help!

Whats the state of the Fusion Service?

As I get to an install I may be able to advise better.

    1. Are you logging into the Fusion Consle first.

    2. From there you access BAS via the MDM section in the top right I believe.

Will presume these steps have been followed:

Assign a user account to a tablet

    1. In BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Studio, search for a user account.

    2. In the search results, click the name of a user account.

    3. Click the + tab.

    4. In the Add a tablet section, in the MDM domain drop-down menu, select an MDM domain.

    5. In the BlackBerry PlayBook Administration Service drop-down menu, select the BlackBerry Device Service.

    6. Select one or more group you want to add the user account to and click the right arrow icon.

    7. Click Submit.

After you finish: Activate the tablet. For more information about activating tablets, see the BlackBerry Device Service

Administration Guide and BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager Administration Guide.

    heres my update so far…

I deleted the server and set up a new vm with mobilefusion, blackberry device service and sql. I can see the new MDM in the Fusion web console but now not the previous BES Express lol.

Here is how I got my Playbook to activate… Ready for this one? I turned off my wifi on the playbook and it activated lol.

so somehow both MDM's show up now but my playbook isnt updating or activating again… oy

Ok so now its all working properly somehow… Itd be easier to have an enterprise activation setting or app on the playbook similar to the phones.

Now I can't wait to see how the ios devices interact with the system when that comes oUt

    I have finally installed.

The MFS Service fails to start.

RIM's workaround: Start Manually – does not work.

Supportforums workaround: copy msvcr71.dll to C:WindowsSysWOW64 folder – does not work.

Love it when a product is broken out of the box.

Just take it back. There is a warranty.

Take what back? Fusion is software only.

The problem is same here. After shutting down do the update trough the desktop manager, at the 99% it suddenly turns on, and PC says lost connection to the tablet, installation not complete …
