Hello I have totally messed up on my BB playbook, when I first got it I set my username to be the same as my email on my bb curve, which I didn't know at the time I shouldn't have done that. I have now forgotten my password on my Playbook so I can't download any apps, so is there someone out there who can let me know in extreme simple terms how do I go about putting the playbook back to factory settings, I haven't added anything to it only used the browser. I want to get rid of that username so I can start again. I have managed to delete my email on the curve now. Many thanks and a merry christmas
Kind regards
Esther
Hi Esther – did you connect your playbook to Blackberry Desktop Mgr before all of this?
I'm thinking that via desktop mgr you delete the os and re-install a previous version of the pb os …… what version os are you using now?
Esther the following is a link to a Blackberry site that gives step by step instructions as to how to delete one os and download another.

Esther – yet another thought, lol!
Here is the link to the BB Blackberry ID sign in page. Plug your playbook into your pc/laptop and open this page. Then enter your email address and select forgotten password.

This is what I was going to suggest. If that doesn't work, I think you'll have to wipe your PlayBook, but in the ID you want to use, and go from there.
