Leave It On is an app I've had for over a year. Initially it did what it's name suggests: kept your backlight on in chosen applications. I mostly use it for navigation apps that I want to leave on since my BB is usually charging in my vehicle anyway. You can set it to stay on for as little as a minute, up to 2 hours, or never! There is also an option to 'Add Leave It On to menus.' This can be handy when you're in an app or reading a document or message and you want to leave it on-screen. Just hit menu and select Leave It On
More recently they have added the message popup feature that I think is great. This is totally customizable as well. You choose which notifications pop up and which don't. You can also choose how long the popup stays before disappearing, what color the text is and you can pick a program that will never show pop ups if you want. I have it set to not show popups in Doodle Jump. Gotta focus! And one popup could mess up my entire game!
I realized as I wrote this that my version of Leave it On is outdated and there is at least one new feature that I noticed:
E-mails and SMS now support full message preview! Emails can be marked as read, replied, forwarded and deleted right from the pop-up!
