Did google just block my account from signing in on my BlackBerry 7.1 device 9810/7.1.0.694?

I can confirm that my wife's account won't log in as well…

Can some one verify on other devices including BlackBerry 10 from the browser?

If Google did block us, then I'd call this something else other than winter clean up.

"You have signed into your Google account"

    5 seconds later;

"You have signed out of your Google account"

Never touched the keys, did it 4 times to verify. Using an AT&T branded 9700 still running OS5. It's been awhile since I actually tried to sign into GM but its definitely not working now. Another strike against Google

As steve said, you log in as usual and the next second you're logged out. Are people having that problem on blackberry 10 in the web browser? That really concerns me now.

Weird… I don't seem to have that problem using Google Map on BB10… works just fine by me and I typed in a couple of different addresses in my city. However since I drive a lot I like using BB10's Maps. It works really, really good. I used it when I was in Seattle looking for my hotel. I've used BB Maps in my area as well when I was trying to find a place out in the Burbs…

    Dear All

I have the same problem since 8th March 2012 and when ever i tried to log on to Google Maps it gives me the same reply. I tried with my other Google account but no success.

    Regards,

    Dar

I'm wondering if it's got to do with location and carrier. I'm in Canada and my carrier is Rogers and have had no problem what so ever… just plain strange.

PB, just to clarify are you logged into GM when using? I can use maps I just can't login to see my saved places which I think is also Amir's issue.

Yes, I think I am… I log into my Google account, go to maps and then access directions for various addresses. I haven't tried saving the addresses… I guess I can do that and see what happens. I don't get a message that tells me I'm signed out of google. I don't use the mobile version either on my BB10. I just go direct to the desktop version. Not sure if that makes a difference…

I never use account to sign into google, and I always make sure certain things are blocked from google (it always asks me change permissions, but I say Proceed Anyway..) Have no problem with maps. I think they would just block the whole service not just being able to log in if they wanted to leave BB out.

And you're on a 10 device, too, so I wonder if its a mobile site thing. I'm running OS5 on my 9700 and Amir is on 7.1 on a 9810 so that may definitely play a part in it. Interesting, for sure.

I’m experiencing the same problem on my BB Bold (9650) running 5.0 on Verizon. Whenever I sign into Google Maps or Latitude, it tells me “You have signed out of your Google account”. I can still use Google Maps, but without my saved places. I haven’t logged any location information since 8 Mar 2013 at 14:37 Central Time (US). Does anybody know if this is limited to BlackBerry devices?

So I just tried signing in again about an hour ago and finally had success. Anybody hear what the problem was?
