Did anyone else notice that Verizon and Motorola have a device event on the 1st day of DevCon? Do you think that their announcements will take away from RIM's announcements?

Isn't that the iPhone 4S? I don't think that will be seen as a big deal, but I also think there will be little or no media coverage of DevCon.

That is a different event that motorola has with verizon nothing to do with the iPhone but I believe they will announce a few devices. Theres a ton of events this month from different tech giants.

From what I've read, they are going to release the Xoom2, the Xoom Media(which is a smaller phone), and potentially the next phone to carry the razr name. Either way, I hope it doesn't take away from whatever RIM has planned.

Nope, that's probably cuz the last time they had a press conference for a phone, it was the Torch and that wasn't well received.

I think it all comes down to the Colt, no wonder there is no news leaking out the whole company is probably holding it's breath.
I have to believe with TAT it's going to look pretty but are they going to have something that will wow the media? It's going to be hard to do. Matching Apple or Android along with BBM and email would please all of us but the media will say "Yawn".
Maybe pretty is enough but I don't know.
