Tried a few battery pulls, but as of this morning, all my contacts duplicated. Anyone know how to fix that doesn't require a wipe? Or taking the time to go through and delete the extras.

There's an app called ContactCleaner that I used to have installed that worked nicely but I'll admit, I think it was more for address book cleaner, merging duplicates etc. Since all of your contacts are duplicated, I'm not sure there isn't a bigger problem. If you try contact cleaner, make sure you have a backup of some sort just in case it deletes the everything. If you delete one, do both disappear or just one? That would at least confirm there are actually 2 entries...in which case, CC, would likely work.

Oh yeah, had that problem when I switched over to the new OS7 phone cuz you had to reset your BBID...
In Google you can merge your addresses and delete then try to resync.
I downloaded an app call Contacts cleaner. It was $0.99 and I just ran it thru my phone. I'll let you know how it works once it finishes (found over 400+ duplicates out of 800 contacts). I'll see what happens when I merge it.
I think also on DM or on your phone you can pick which default back up you want to only use for syncing and your phone should just sync to that default.

Also there is a setting in Contacts Options menu which you can untick.
Go into contacts,
press BB button,
scroll to options and choose
untick "allow for duplicates"I think that will stop the duplications too. I was starting to get 3 copies of the same address everytime I was syncing...
However if you use outlook on your computer you'll have to manually remove the duplicates and that's a pain...

Situation solved. Returned the Torch 9850 with the contact issue and (main reason) returned due to not being able to have a phone call over 2mins 30 seconds. All's well! lol
I do have contacts cleanup, but I didn't see listed as for OS7. So hadn't tried it.

I have yet to reset my BBID.
If I have to in the future do I delete account or something different?

OMG really Corey? LOL! :) A call can't last longer then 2min30sec?! Hope they gave you a new one...
but it could advantage to that in certain scenarios, like when your boss is trying to make you be his assistant even though he has one already... LOL...
At heavens, yeah it was kind of weird but you must have a new BBID with an OS7 device. Perhaps that was the start of laying the groundwork for the PB acquiring it's own native email and contact list etc. My PB still has my old BBID from OS5 and 6.
I used my Google but it also transferred/duplicated all my old contacts as well from Outlook... so after syncing I sometimes ended up with triplicates too... yikes! I had to manually change my outlook (what a pain). Went into the phone setting to disallow duplicates and Google to mmerge duplicates.
I need to sync again soon... so after all this editing I just might be able to get one cohesive contact list.

Yeah. Worked with CS over the course of a week. 3 different os's. Wipe. Etc. Finally, they said come in and we'll give you a new one. So I did. So far this one is much better. Yeah at 2mins 30 seconds to 2 mins 50secs, the call would drop, then my network could go to OFF. Once last week, the phone during a call shut down and got the jvm 507 no software error.

Well, started happening to me this morning. AGAIN! So I deleted apps one by one. I think it was PowerBOSS. Something in it limits causes your phone to shut off....hmm.
