New subscribers to Bell and Telus up in Canada can get the Bold 9900 for as little as $50 when you signup for a 3 year contract! Remember these are less than a few weeks old! Is the Bold selling well or is RIM trying to sell out the devices in stores to please shareholders? Perhaps some new devices are on the horizon. Perhaps the new QNX phones may appear early before Christmas? What is your take?

something just doesn't sound right to me about this. Do they want to load up all the blackberry faithful before the QNX phones come out??? More likely is round them up now on 2 to 3 year contracts so they don't jump to iPhone 5. Then they have some breathing room to do the QNX phones right.

There is major back to school war promo between all the carriers up here for the business. You can get an iPhone 4 for $99 or a Samsung S for around the same price at the BBs.
I finally broke down today and got the BB9900 (wow what a beautiful phone) anyhow everyone at the store was buying the same phone as me except for one kid getting the LG Optimus. No one was interested in the iPhone! :)
On the local craigs list people were willing to trade their iPhone 4 for a BB9900.
Just carrier wars for back to school.
