Since all these new roadmaps have been released over the last couple days, the word 4G Blackberry has been popping up. This has again rehashed the brutal 4G LTE VS HSPA+ debate.
I personally don't give a damn!!
What do you think?

Unless carriers rethink their data plans there really is no point to 4G. It just means you can reach your quota way faster than before.
It probably won't make a big difference in this year, but will likely make a diffeence by the time the QNX phones come out.
Right now in my mind the only true 4G networks are Verizon's LTE and Sprint's WiMax. HSPA+ is an enhanced 3G and therefore not 4G. Honestly I don't care what they call these new BBs as long as they release them soon.
@ babisboi, yep, LTE or WiMax is the true 4G.
I always consider the HSPA+ as 3.5G! LOL :D
I don't think any of the phones, droid, iPhones or BBs currently out or soon to be out will be capable of accessing true 4G. Not even sure if the new iPhone5 will.
There is not a big enough carrier network supporting the new tech to worry about at the current moment. Implementation of the LTE and/or WiMax will take some time.

Barracuda, not necessarily. If you are doing the same thing on a 3G phone and a 4G phone, the amount of data doesn't change, just the speed at which you are accessing the data and how fast it displays on your screen.
I won't use my phone any differently because its HSPA+, I will just have see my webpages load faster.

I think in the end when you are comparing HSPA+ to LTE, we are beyond the "speed factor," as the deciding factor.
As I have said before, my cable internet at home is 10 Mpbs... way faster than I need. Current 3G on Rogers pulls in about 3-4 Mpbs based on what I see.
If HSPA+ gets to even 7-8 Mpbs... that would be fantastic.
I really really really don't think you would notice the difference between 10 Mpbs and 20 Mpbs or even 40 Mpbs.....
It gets redundant....
Does it drain your battery in 3 hours? Then it's REAL 4G ;)

TRUE STORY
3g can drain your battery in 3 hours also but Verizon 4g drains your battery bad because its not complete like there 3g network I don't see no use in 4g at all
@ Marc - LMAO! :D
Sorry guys, I can drain my battery in three hours just by talking constantly on my phone... and it's only on 3G.
3G, 2G, 4G... Pfffft wifi/mifi the ONLY way to go ;)
