At first when I saw BBE post this app for BlackBird, a new native Twitter app for PlayBook, I thought to myself 'Oh boy, this is the big one' I got all excited, waited alllll day for 5pm to roll around so I could scurry home and install this bad boy to my PB... I found it app world, intalled and fired that baby up... Entered all my twitter accounts got it the settings tweaked just how I like it... At 1st glance the UI seemed very sweet, not only did it appear to be a power house, but the design and graphics brought a tear to my lil technosexual heart... I browsed thru it's features which includes:

• Quick access
• Easily read your timeline and single tweets
• Write and post your tweets and replies
• View profiles
• Retweet and mark as favorite
• Multiple account support
Super stoked I was like:
'Ok, let the Tweeting begin!!!!!!'
I noticed immediately it lacked the ability to send pics! Wth?! Right off the bat I'm losing hope... Posting seemed to run smoothly, but I noticed some lag as well as DM's and some mentions coming in very delayed or not at all.. Something I'd expect from a twitter client for my phone, but why oh why would u do it for PlayBook? Soooo after about an hour of tinkering and playing I quickly became unamused and returned to the sanity of my beloved Blaq....
BlackBird has potential, it is def a pretty boy, but lacks the essentials of my twitter needs... Perhaps w/a few right upgrades this app could be come something worth seeking in the future, but for now I mark it a #FAIL.
Don't simply take my word for it tho, it is FREE so why not Download it, give it a shot and offer ur thoughts here... After all one Tweeps trash is another's treasure...
