It's finally a reality. Just go to http://www.blackberry.com/protect to get set up. You need to get the app in App World. I tested the location feature and it found me at my house with no problem.

It was a really fast download considering it is a 2MB file. It backed up my data quickly once installed.

I have a 9650, BIS, 6.0, and I can install, but it never opens, etc. Anyone else come across this?

I love this app! Works very well and very fast!

I'm not sure, but I think I'm draining the battery quicker with the locator service on. Otherwise, it's great.

'WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO?!?!?"Haha! That's hilarious fubaz. Such a cool feature to be able to send messages to the screen from a computer. I like going with the fake fingerprint scanner trick: "WARNING! Fingerprints not recognized! Return BlackBerry device to Jay or all contents will be wiped."
I never thought to add the loud ring after that. Genius!

Protect is working good so far. I like it! It's simple use and the UI is clean.

Protect is working great for me. Back up weekly, haven't had to use the other features, but that is also a good thing (I certainly hope no one is having to use Remote Wipe on a weekly basis).
