Didn't one of the CEOs hype an event last year (the last one in 2011, Sept or Oct?) and there was absolutely nothing announced to the extent of the hype?...also why hype anything at all when their entire 2011 was missed deadlines? Shooting yourself in the foot...

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. Heard a lot from both of them last year, missed a lot of deadlines too now that I think about it.

If they announced and showcased BB10 in feb, will that result in everyone holding back from buying BlackBerry OS7 devices?
RIM should just shut up, no one believes them anymore. Let the products do the talking, don't hype until after the announcement.

i dont mind pre hype if they follow through.
in the past they hype then dont show anything lol

I have to be optimistic. I may have fallen off the edge, tho
It would be a huge surprise if they showed off OS2 and were able to follow up by saying it will be available at the end of the day. However, I think it may be more likely to be released as a public beta. I think they need to get some feedback on how some things ought to work.
As far as I know (I don't have the 2.0 version currently out there) 2.0 doesn't even have auto correct yet. *sigh*

RIM has previously indicated it will come with auto correct
