I think the same as you toy9cito and wasted a lot of time trying other applications (JiveTalk and IM+ included and are not any good for me). I finally found this old release but wasn't able to get a more recent one. If anybody is still running 2.2.39 that seems to be the last one before these stupid releases that waste screen in a device that NEEDS it contact me.
