Personally I really like to read novels in standby time. First I tried some Andriod book reader, but sometimes the playbook doesn't work very well with Andriod applications. Then I tried a native text reader app called "textor". The best feature is when you start reading, you can continue it just by one simple click on the desktop icon next time, no any extra selections or touches on the screen, simple but close. Recently there is a update to support font size zoom-in or zoom-out by finger gesture. I wish it can support epub and pdf in further releases.
Text reader app doesn't have the best interface, but it definitely works and I've used it quite a few times for standard .txt files.
