that was a nice article they building expanding pushing out new devices and still making money without pushing a blackberry to the market in almost a year thats impressive android cant take a risk like that its would be some problems

Yes, I love Rim! Support Canada!! :)
Yes we will need to move some of these teens and young people off iPhones and Android but I think it's happening via parents.
My son got his full introduction to BB when I handed him my Bold to replace his HTC. He had used my phone before but not as intensely as he does when it's his own phone.
From then on he's had a love affair with his BB. Many of his friends are the same and they in turn start talking to their other friends about the power of BBs and BBM and for a Canadian teen BBs are way more popular then an iPhone! :)

I didn't know that you used to post for CB. I think that CB has jumped back on the RIM bandwagon, but they definitely fell off for a bit. I check the site for their articles, but this is the only forum I really use.

I posted under a different name, Snick Snack... it just got so confrontational after a while filled with Trolls and iPhans and Droidheads that if you try to say something that remotely defend or support your stance or Rim's position you're either shot down for being in denial or being such a blind BB fan that you don't see the truth that Rim is dying... There were some good posters there with good views but everybody wanted to compare BBs to iPhones and every other posts for a while was filled with the death of Rim... sheesh... stop already... or simply you get caught in a name flinging fight... luckily that only happened once and I wasn't the one that got banned! LOL... The other poster actually accused me of going around stealing wi-fi with my PB and that I must be a pimply face teenage geek... umm... yeah.. I don't think my pic looks anything like a teenage geek... LOL.
I haven't posted in eons on CB... just here. It's refreshing to have people actually read your opinions and contribute to it without devolving into flame session if they don't agree with your view. :)

Stories like that are the reason, I've stayed away from the cb forums. Its just too full of people that don't know what they are talking about. Death of RIM? Yeah right, they are transitioning right now, and once the transition is complete, a lot of people will be singing a completely different song. RIM like any and every other company on the planet has its flaws, but their phones and success speak for themselves. QNX is the future of RIM and BlackBerry. They know, other companies fear it, and I'm just excited for it.

There are also quite a few people who say they want Rim to succeed (on CB Forums) but all they have to say is negative stuff about Rim and their justification is that they use to use a BB but now use an iPhone or a Droid... ummm.. well imo if you don't like the BB and you're using another platform you really don't have any credibility to your opinions by coming back to BB and posting on a BB forum about how behind the times BBs really are. They mask their negativity by a justification that they use to help a ton of people with their BBs... well they're not helping a ton of people now!! Just spreading their stupidity around... ugh...
These are the posters that when I see their names makes me want to crawl thru the internet and strangle them!!
In fact a couple of them showed up here and thankfully everyone made very short work of their trolling attitude and they haven't come back (touch wood) and hopefully never will.
I don't think they were expecting such staunch defense of BBs and Rim on this site. Thank God!!
We are all aware of our BBs shortcomings but we also look forward to new products and continued success of an amazing company and platform.

That's a great point. The people that have showed up here that have been very negative have met quite a passionate group that really defends RIM.
You are right, we are all very aware of what RIM needs to improve, but this forum is so good at pointing out what's good and pointing out how to improve the issues that we are having with our phones. I stay away from the CB forums because I don't enjoy the experience. The discussions here are real, and enlightening. And when the new phones come out, and then the QNX phones come out, all of those trolls can eat their words.
