Hey BBA are you on Rogers? I'm thinking of loading this hybrid on my BB9900 but am concern about how to do it and if it works with Rogers? My phone works perfectly right now and I can tether or bridge but I wouldn't mind having the kind of speed you're talking about. Please let me know. Thanks.

Hold on downloading the os itself is very buggy. Tons of random hourglass. Unless you NEED wifi hotspot, don't download.
It was cool to see and I am glad its real, but I am downgrading back to 7.0

Seems the buggyness has settled down a bit.... I will use this over the weekend and decide. The WIFI hotspot is cool and very useful, but, I would only REALLY take use of it a couple times a month. Having the buggyness I did earlier was not worth it.
I am gonna try a few more battery pulls...
Anyone else throw this on yet?

People does the hotspot use BIS or WAP?
Is there an option to choose which source: BIS or network?
Don't have an os7 device yet - so question is academic - but still keen to know.

Thats pretty cool main reason I was using an android for the hotspot but is so painful trying to use it for email and social networking.

As apn is needed, its neither wap nor bis, its using cellular data. Ie iphone data.

The thing here to remember is that to use wifi hotspot, you will have to pick up your carriers tethering. can do that free on bridge. hmmmm....
