At the end I asked if I could upgrade after a year like I could on AT&amp;T. He said they wouldn&#39;t proactively offer me the upgrade but if I called in they might do that.</p> <p>Then I said it was because the new BB 10 phones were coming out. He said ya they loook really good but they are very far behind and prob not a good idea to go with Blackberry again...</p> <p>I sure as hell hope RIM knows they have these problems. No other OS can match this. Isn&#39;t it more likely the case that RIM collects $5 from every data plan for use of it&#39;s netowrk and for this reason putting BBM free on the playbook is undesirable. It is in free beta right now but it looks like they will be charging for it in the future since there is a registration page. It just popped up on the radar in the last few weeks and looks like a VERY powerful little tool that takes less than 90kb!
