The older 8XXX series devices have not been seeing much update love recently so I am trying to point out their upgrades when they are available. Cory let me know that AT&T has released OS 4.5.0.158 for the 8110 Pearl which is a newer version than even the latest leak. It weird that AT&T only updated the 8110 OS but I guess weirder things have happened.

Tashanna let me know that the BlackBerry Bold OS 4.6.0.301 that leaked awhile back is now official courtesy of AVEA. It looks like it was first spotted by Morganizer on BerryAddicted.

It looks like A1 has gone and updated the OS for the 9500 GSM Storm. This new update is the latest I have seen so far in the 4.7 series so it should be worth a download.

JasonP let me know that Iusacell has released OS 4.7.0.151 for the 9530. For some reason it is listed under the 9500 but the OS is for the 9530. Definitely worth checking out since this is newer than the 148 out from Verizon.

Luis let me know that RIM has added a link from mobile.blackberry.com to a new mobile friendly version of the official RIM BlackBerry support forums. I think it is great that RIM realizes supporting their own browser is important but I just cannot believe how BADLY RIM designed the new mobile forums. It is like they never plan on anybody using them by implementing a interface reminiscent of WAP websites way back when.

The topic titles are also truncated which makes them very hard to read. On top of that every single post in each tread is on a different page! Meaning you will have to hit next 10 times just for this one topic below… I know I am a bit biased now that we have our own forums but this is a bit much… I wonder if this is just a limitation of the forum software RIM is using since this is worse than not having a mobile version.
