Hi,

We've released the first version of Nautical charts app for Blackberry, that serves as a navigation aid for mariners.

The app includes fully offline GPS accurate NOAA RNCs® along with POI layers created from NOAA ENCs® covering entire USA (other regions coming soon). We do special processing to create chart bundles that merge RNC chart data available across multiple scales to a single bundle. The object layers available in equivalent ENCs are also available as layers for the same chart and are searchable.

Some of the features in this release are:

Download any NOAA RNC chart in US for offline usage

Auto Follow Mode

Seamless mosaicing of chart, whenever possible

Distance/Bearing tool

Create custom way points

POI layer for each Chart derived from ENCs

Search POIs/Way points

Pan/zoom/locate yourself

Record GPS tracks

View tracks overlay

Live track animationTrack analytics/stats

Export tracks in GPX format.

A complete description of the feature is also available at this link. A video illustrating features of the app is here.

Thanks,

I have been using Wikinvest for several weeks now on my 9900 and am quite impressed. The app allows you to both track your portfolio as well as look up quotes. It also has a news feed for the stocks in your portfolio, news feed for the markets, and a screen showing the performance of the various markets. I don't use the website often but there is a website where you can view all of the same info from the app as well as create manual portfolios such as a watchlist (brokerage accounts can be added in the app, manual portfolios have to be created on the website). If you pull up a particular stock, the page view is decent containing a performance chart, day range, 52 wk range, headlines, analysis, and financial data...not as extensive as going to my eTrade webpage but for an app, more than sufficient. You also get a weekly performance email, containing portfolio performance and your top performers and worst performers of the week. Finally, for those who have accounts with multiple brokers, its serves as a nice hub when you want a quick update on all your accounts or is a solution for brokerage firms that don't have a stock app. Oh, and its free.

Using tetherberry again! Deleted it to save memory on my 9700 so I haven't been using it at all for the last 6 months or so. Saw the app on my desktop, decided to see if it worked on my 9900...just watched some highlights on espn and the connection speed I'm getting on my laptop is very impressive (not as fast as my normal w/U-Verse but barely any buffering).

I installed the AmazonMp3 app today on my 9900 but after installing it, I was not able to find the icon anywhere. Looked in Application settings, its listed there. Double checked App World and its listed as an installed app there too...at a loss, pretty much. Is it possible that AT&T has some block installing it? Just tried deleting and reinstalling it too and same thing...

BerryLicious_4_9900 Hybrid
feat. Zocster, Indolicious, JDesignz, DJFra & Zionx
for Bold 9900

Here we are again with our newest. Thanks again bro Zoc, iking, and testers alike.

Mix Java:
7.1.0.58/.74/.150/.163

About Screen/Help Screen/Platform:
7.1.0.163/7.1.0.150/5.1.0.75

The points of difference in this hybrid are:

1. Less memory and battery drain, speedy boot up time, and speedy browser.
2. Blackberry messenger hybrid by bro iking
3. GPS, bluetooth, 3G and wifi locks faster than standard or leaked OS.
4. Responsiveness.
5. Device can still be used up to less 2% battery remaining.

Includes BBM Beta v6.1.0.37 (needs beta code)

If you do not have a Blackberry Beta account either create one before installing Hybrid
or delete the BlackBerryMessenger.alx file.

This hybrid has been shrunk, you can shrink further at your own risk.

Installation instructions:

1. Download & Install Base OS7.1 for 9900 (leaked)

example:

32bit
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9900Asia_v7.1.0.74_P5.1.0.75

64bit
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9900Asia_v7.1.0.74_P5.1.0.75

2. Delete “VENDOR.XML” in folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader\

3. Wipe the entire base OS located in, for example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9900Asia_v7.1.0.74_P5.1.0.75 (note, only delete what’s INSIDE the folder)

4. Download and install Berrylicious Hybrid installer into the base OS folder, for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9900Asia_v7.1.0.74_P5.1.0.75

5. Fully backup your blackberry with Desktop Manager, with radios off.

6. Backup your apps using VNBButil/BBMC

7. Wipe your device with JL_CMDR / BBSAK / VNBBUtil

8. Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader\loader.exe

9. Select what you need to install carefully to optimise free memory. If you want to use Universal/Global Search, be sure to tick SEARCH FEATURE in apploader list

10. With radios off, Fully restore your backed up data, then do another battery pull. Before you turn your wireless back on, click on the Blackberry Messenger and confirm that all your contacts and groups are there.

11. Enjoy your hybrid, give it a minimum of 4 hours before you do another battery pull.

12. For best result, do 3 battery pulls a day, 6 hours a part for the first 48 hours.

OK. I had the same problem reload the software. If the problem persist you might want to try sprints 7.1 without the vendor XML with Hotspot included. Also if im not mistaken Verizon last OS for the torch was .5xx, If im not mistaken.
