- As long as you are moving to a higher plan than the one lets talk offers I would think it would be Okay. You might need a manager override or something though. I know I bought my Bold 9000 from Best Buy and they don't offer the same rate plans as AT&T so when I go to the site it shows the Best Buy ones. I thought about asking them about it but since I don't use the phone for anything but data I didn't bother.
- Nice catch. Got a direct link for that? I was actually looking but didn't find it. All carriers have an ETF if you don't maintain the service but WireFly will charge you fill retail price if you dont keep the phone and calling plan features for a year, oh and ATT requires the data plan now anyway. Basically you need to keep the phone and data plan on the account for 4 months. I change my phones regularly but that is quite palatable.
- This deal is only for new customers. Add A Line still costs $199.99 damm them LOL. Still a better deal than anyone else with the coupon code mentioned above it drops to $174.99. Amazon goes through WireFly so that's something you want to avoid at all costs. Unlike them I cant find any strings with LetsTalk
- Not really sure why it's complicated, Ronen, the parts of Alltel that are to be divested are still operating under the Alltel name until someone buys them at which point there probably will be a name change. VZW is not exercising direct control of those parts, so it stands to reason that there will be differences in rate plans, phone releases, etc.
- If it were that easy to change they would have years ago instead of create EMS. As it is it is part of the system now and they have to deal with it or find a way to change the system which is probably easier said than done. Just use MMS and be done with it.
- Why would you want such ancient software? Anyway if you really want it it it should still be on the vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry site
- @ Dean Agreed. I noticed the same thing :-(
- add a line, switch the sim cards so you can use it on your current line, and then cancel the second line after 181 days. You don't get quite as good a deal that way but it's still a huge savings.
- Why would anybody be surprised by this?
- @ Nikolaus Walch For one thing it is 3G. For another it has Bold's keyboard and screen (well slightly downsized but you get the idea) Yes it is a world phone, and according to CX on Crackberry it DOES have WiFi so don't believe everything you read on BGR. Kevin should know that by now too. I agree that this cant get here fast enough, I have an annual update available and will snatch this up to replace my aging Voyager as my everyday/talking phone the first week it is available. I love the Storm but I carry that as a second device for media and web surfing.
