- I'm hoping that all the bridge changes will work with phone OS 6. Not much good reading about all the potential changes / abilities until they state that OS 6 as well as OS 7 will be able to access all and any upgraded bridge changes.
- Mate, take it from a Sydney sider that's a bloody awful commentator and bloody awful copy. who on earth wrote that crap????? We call a spade a spade here in Aus, and that promo SUCKS!!!! BTW ..... someone should have done a google search before using that Wake Up slogan ..... Check out this website: http://www.wakeupsydney.com.au/about.aspx.aspx Wake Up Sydney is an organisation whose aim is to: 'Our grand vision is for Sydney to start a kindness revolution - to become a "Kindness Capital"; a beacon of inspiration, creativity and peace. The campaign is underway with our free "kindness card" campaign. The kindness cards are beautifully designed cards that encourage anonymous acts of kindness. In just over two years, over 45,000 free kindness cards have been posted out. Order your free kindness cards here and read more about the kindness revolution here.' RIM DO use google before thinking your ideas may be original! AND yes .... I want RIM to have a grander presence here in Aus, and I have 2 BB phones and the PB, and don't contemplate other brands .... I know when I'm on a good thing and I stick with it!
- "I am excited that this is all coming later this summer. I am not sure if that means the PlayBook is getting BlackBerry 10 this summer or maybe a separate" Ronen, do you think the PB will get full OS 10 functionality, or perhaps just partial .... because it seems that RIM would want people to buy the new PB with the draw card being full OS capability. I hope that as much OS 10 capability as possible can be downloaded onto this current PB .... but I'm not sure that that's going to be the reality.
- very exciting the flow stuff ..... and yet when I view it I think, but of course that IS how it should be, lol!!! For me, when something looks that natural and fluid then I know it must be devised darn smartly and eloquently behind the scenes!
- It makes sense to me that RIM would continue support to OS 7 .... in fact it's pretty darn obvious! Business consumers are not as likely to rush into buying a new, and yet to be consumer tested device, they'll take some time to review the comments after the initial release flurry purchasers pour forth. Also ..... I don't know the stats ..... but how many BB phone holders are there currently in each OS offering? How many OS5 holders, OS 6 holders, and earlier models? How many people out there would be waiting for their 2 or 3 year current contracts to expire before they can buy a BB10 model? Those people/businesses who are ready to move into new contracts will no doubt consider a BB10 model within the first year of release, or during the life of the first model - which ever comes first - (or maybe they'll go with OS7) but others will wait for a second etc model in the 10 series before committing. Same as with every other OS model change phone RIM's released. Plus ca change .....
- Ronen I've seen the following statement made a couple of times: "For RIM, BlackBerry 10 and on the PlayBook and soon smartphones allows them to enter the mobile computing space (think cars, entertainment devices, embedded devices, etc…)" I'd like some discussion around what it means please ..... the mobile computing space is an interesting expression - are phone companies the only ones who use this expression? What does it involve or include - as in interaction type examples ..... How ready are the other actors, possible providers, in this space? Are any other phone companies currently in the space? I guess the expression means much more than the apparent current offering in the mobile computing space like bluetooth available in cars and some brands/models being fitted with iphone/ipod docks ....
- Re localisation - i want to be able to choose Australian English per the Macquarie Dictionary and i want any predictive text to be in Australian english. Believe it or not we don't currently get the Australian english option!
- Yay ... I want the physical keyboard too!
- I love it .... What a perfect excuse not to talk to someone .... Ring ring, lol!!
- Tim thank you for sharing ..... I can feel your enthusiasm from Sydney!!! Nice people do exist and I'm glad you met one, eh!
