- I haven't tested it personally, but most Web sites are reporting that the version of Facebook offered on Research in Motion's (RIM) "mobile" BlackBerry site has not yet been updated... I'm not sure if the Facebook application has been updated on the "normal" site or not, but it's there to try: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/social/facebook.jsp#tab_tab_tab_download ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- An update was made available a few hours ago, which has quite a few changes... See the link below for full details of what was changed: http://www.simprit.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=485 Existing beta users simply need to go to http://www.miutunes.com from their BlackBerry's default Internet browser, sign-in and download the update... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- I don't think they changed the file on their mobile site - a large number of users on various sites are reporting that the status-based "is" still shows, even after downloading the "update"! Give it a few days and hopefully they should upload the new version to their mobile site, or if you have a computer, you can see how you go through their regular site: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/features/social/facebook.jsp#tab_tab_tab_download ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- I'm not sure about under a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)/BlackBerry Unite, but under my BlackBerry Individual Solution (BIS) I cannot specify the IMAP settings for Google's GMail... My e-mail setup page forces me to use POP. ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- What's the name of the clip? I would like to search it on blueapple.mobi... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- Please, please, oh PLEASE do a review on this? I have been serching for a Linux-based alternative to Microsoft Exchange: Server with native support for either Microsoft's ActiveSync or Research in Motion's (RIM) BlackBerry (with BlackBerry being preferred) for about a year now... To no avail. Now I FINALLY may have just found what I'm looking for! PLEASE do a review? ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- The Google Mobile Updater only updates products released by Google themselves - whilst the Google Talk application mentioned above DOES connect to Google's instant messaging (IM) services, it is actually made and distributed by Research in Motion (RIM) under licence from Google... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- It's nice to have "mobile" access to their own forums finally - I have loudly and publically argued repeatedly that Research in Motion's (RIM) forums should be available in a BlackBerry-friendly format... Why they didn't make a BlackBerry-friendly version from day one is beyond me, especially since mobile Internet access is a key feature of BlackBerry OS. I still think that they need to offer a downloadable menu short-cut to these forums however... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- Yeah, I found this last night... It's funny, because the Google Mobile Suite (which includes the Google Mobile Updater) claimed that there was no updated version available, yet I could manually download a newer version (the above version) from http://maps.google.com! So much for the Google Mobile Updater keeping my Google applications up-to-date... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
- Well the name's real at least - I just did a WhoIs search on http://www.blackberrykickstart.com and sure enough, the domain is registered to a "secret" party in Canada... The home of Research in Motion (RIM)! Conicidence? Highly unlikely... ~ Posted wirelessly from my BlackBerry 8800 ~
