- Forget about the whole BlackBerry like or hate thing but I'm just disgusted by their lack of professionalism these two clowns showed. This is the kind of BS blog reporting I am getting tired of seeing. I have no problem with fair criticism of RIM but when you completely make an ass of yourself like these clowns it takes away from any valid point they may have. Plus I mean the way they treated Alex was just to me plain wrong and hopefully they do send something to him cause the man was simply doing his job, which he does pretty well.
- Hi Ricky, Sorry to hear about your issues but I just have a small problem with the perception your commentary gives. These issue seem to get more flame than most other platform and while I have had my fair issues in the past with my BlackBerry, I have had no such issue with my 9900. Like you said in your intro though stuff happens and I think the commentary is more of you venting your frustration rather than actually grading the overall product. I think these so call bad 9900 make up a small percentage of the base, as noted by most of the comments towards your commentary. My sister who moved from a iphone to 9810 hasn't reported any issues to me since. I have no doubt some customers have issues but again my problem is why do a few BlackBerry issues get accepted as the experience for the broader BlackBerry base. Iphone has been struggling with battery issues and still has not been able to fix it.......but most of us accept that his is a small minority and does not reflect the broader experience of the user base. Android has issue with higher volume problems and constant malware......again we accept this only affects a small percent of users so we move on. But anything related to RIM regardless how small it is seems to be taken as a reflection of the whole base rather than understanding this is affects a small number of customer. It technology and again stuff does happens. Again Ricky, I understand your frustration and you rightfully should be.......I guess my problem is these stories do not reflect the entire base experience and only affects a small portion. Should RIM fix it? Absolutely but I image there is an Iphone or Android user who feels the same way as you regarding their respective problems. No business wants any user to be frustrated and for this reason your problem should be of concern to RIM.......at the same time your particular issue is affects only a small percent of the users base and should not be interpreted as the experience of the entire BlackBerry 9900 base. Saying all that I hope RIM is able to push some updates and hopefully you can have your phone back to normal because any frustrated BB user is never a good thing. Its too bad they these no BBX yet cause these update would have been pushed already. All the best Ricky.
- Haha yes if icons are my biggest complain then RIM is doing well. I should have known saying kiddish would drive fans crazy as that's the furthest thing from what a BlackBerry is. The new app world update has improved the experience and I think they are taking all the feedback from users as they progress. My article was trying to get at how a small detail can sometimes make a huge difference in the eyes of customers. The app world experience is far better on a touch screen device and I am loving it on my Bold.
- I understand what you mean. I was surprised to hear the browser had issues as well. One thing people have to remember is Apple and Android had wayyy more issues than RIM is having right now with a new OS (not really issues in my view). I think we all forget that RIM is restructuring and that takes time and well yes some bugs along the way. Of course as fans we want them to get it right out of the gate but I don't think it takes away from the experience with some minor bugs. One year down the road none of us will remember about these reviews rather where the product is at that point. Like seriously the first iOS had no copy and paste and don't get me started with androids issues. As a company you take some heat but you make sure your vision is well executed as the months go. As long as RIM executes no one will remember these bugs. With QNX I have no doubt they will execute their vision, so BlackBerry users don't feel like they are missing anything. On a side note, is the Bold Touch sexy or what?
- I have to say CrackBerry did an excellent review. Anyhow, I checked out the other reviews and I think they were more negative than I thought but still some legitimate concerns. They all seemed to be drilling at the same old theme of lack of apps, lack of email.....you know the usually stuff people just say when they have nothing nice to say about PlayBook. I did notice an underlining theme though. Every reviewer indirectly or directed said RIM is to be taken seriously going forward. That's good enough for me. I like where RIM is going and I understand this is going to take time though. So get your PlayBook folks and enjoy because BlackBerry fans our future is bright!
- And you were all worried about RIM's marketing plan. I told you they were on it lol. The girl is cute.......and rather dirty minded so she's been upgraded to "hot" status. Watch the fourth video for the 7inch line.
- I'm not worried about the lack of advertising from RIM. The product is not available for purchase so why spend all this money so soon. You can't purchase anything until its available. I am a BlackBerry fan and the long wait is driving me crazy. Nothing is worse than a company promoting a product and you want to get it but wait.....its not available. I know we all want to see RIM blow this out of the park but I think they are doing the right thing here. Do advertising before launch towards the inside tech geeks like us and we will slowly spread the word. Once the product is actually available than let the masses know. Its not like they haven't been advertising the product, they just haven't done nation wide product launch because its not available for purchase.

- I found a really good video on Bloomberg regarding RIM's stock taking a hit recently. I find it funny that even an investor who outlines why he keeps an outperform rating on RIM can't seem to convince the anchors. He arguments a common sense. RIM has seen continues growth.....stop thinking of the world as just North America (especially the United States), 70 percent of RIM's revenue come from outside North America and they have a strategic advantage over the competition. The cellular market is not about RIM vs Apple.....there is enough space for both. Notice in the video how the anchors keep trying to push Apple vs RIM. Check out the video I think it goes to the point I commented on earlier. People need to stop letting company tell them how to think. I hate to sound like a hater but Apple fans are the worse at this. They are a great company but they also have a lot of flaws just like RIM......at least RIM owners are willing to admit where we need to improvements in. - Looks neat. I haven't heard of it before but I could see it being really useful on road trips.
