1. LOL. I loved your quote about Apple. It would be "revolutionary", like the new iPad. I always say that all they do is take technology & then act like they invented it. Take for example "cut & paste" or "multitasking" which I had been doing on my bb for years before they even considered it an option, not a feature like they consider it.
2. I don't want to go to my Blackberry's funeral. Reading all the articles on the fate of RIM don't make it sound like it's going to make it but I'm hopeful.
3. RIM announced recently the FIPS 140-2 certification for Blackberry 7.0 and Blackberry 7.1 devices & everyone knows that BB have always pretty much set the standard for mobile data security. It makes sense for the government to go with a Blackberry device I think. They may be using the term "iPad" to refer to a tablet pc. Similar to how so many people refer to an MP3/media player as an "iPod".
4. I love that you can usually always count on RIM to release high-quality, solid products like this. Everything from the wall chargers, to usb cables, earpieces and bluetooth products to devices themselves always feel & perform solid & that's why I keep coming back to them.
5. I don't understand the need for these if it's super easy to set as many alarms on your native calendar on the bb.
6. I've been having BIS problems since yesterday evening. If I browse through the wap browser I am fine but anything on the BIS browser either doesn't load or takes multiple attempts. BBM has also been sporadic and email delivery as well. I am on ATT, in the Seattle area. Anyone else?
