- As an FYI, Astrasync is compatable w Nuevasync's $25/year Google Sync service that syncs Gmail or Google Apps email/Unlimited Google Calendars/Google Contacts/& your Toodledo account as Tasks- to phones w ActiveSync or Exchange sync ability. So, for 74 bucks a year you can have a nearly full BES sync w your Google Account, still on BIS
- Are you saying that you are just using GV for voicemail now? Because if you would like to actually use your GV number to forward to other phones, like its supposed to be used, I am getting the circular ringing situation you mentioned 1st. Am i missing a way around that, other than using a second GV number?
- There is no SIP for bb. Pbxes is a host for sip clients that shows you how to get your Vonage sip info. Host that and DID number sip info on Pbxes to make reg phone calls to acesss vonage sip and rates. U call DID, get dialtone, enter PIN which switches you over to vonage sip acct. Dial out at vonage rates.
- This is app is a total and utter turd and a waste of a waste of time. There is absolutely no tie-in or correlation of your home Vonage, account, if you have one. It's pay as you go, no matter what. The would be the ONLY reason to use the app, since as pointed out earlier, Google Voice and many others are way way cheaper. With Vonage's new deal for home service you can call 60 countries around the world for free. Can you imagine if that was the BB app? That would be great. The only use I can see for the app I guess is if you travel and need a local access number. I guess that would be cheaper but you still have to have your US SIM card in for it to work. BOO!! Vonage! For those who want to set it up the way I said it SHOULD work. Skip the app, go to www.pbxes.com and set up a free account. Look on the right side of the screen when you're logged in for the info on how to set up your Vonage account on pbxes. Get your your free DID number (that's your dial in access number) from www.ipkall.com or www.sipgate.com Follow the instructions to setup your DID and Vonage account info on pbxes.com Then dial your DID number from your bb, enter an access code you choose during setup, and dial out around the world for free with your Vonage account info. That's how I roll. :)
- Thanks, Christopher and BR Looks quite useful.
- Having tried most of the SyncML clients for BlackBerry, I understand your apprehension. Funambol, Google Sync, Scheduleworld, all worked well enough, but had some flaws. However, having used Nice Office for a few days now, I can tell you that this is a whole different animal. This is not a SyncML client. This thing is Pushing all the info up and down. I've had a BB on both BES and BIS and this app/service is doing BES work at a BIS price. The only difference I can see is the level of security involved. Not that big an issue for me. Just doing a little research, Nice Office and the parent company eAgency, have a relationship with RIM that goes back to at least 2004. Think I read they are a BB Alliance member too. This thing has so many features it will blow your mind. AdamG
- & updated graphics when u select "Labels"
- Also have option to predownload voicemail messages while app is syncing, I guess instead of waiting for the dl when you push play. Also also, the option to play vm through speaker or handset setting seems to actually work now.
- I like many of the features of Sensobi, but had to delete the previous beta because it was giving me the Contacts Being Updated Externally error. Also, w Sensobi installed I was getting Not Enough Memory Avail errors when trying to launch newly downloaded apps such as Socialscope. Deleted Sensobi and no error. On another note, what's with the app name? It doesn't bring to mind awesome Contact Management, IMO. I hear Sensobi and I imagine some European breakfast cereal or some heart healthy butter. Maybe its just me.
- One link is Canadian, the other is United Statesian. Neither of which are allowing me to download on ATT Bold, US. Says device or carrier not supported. Thank you RIMtards
