I got an email last week from Paul detailing how he was having problems with his T-Mobile 8320 and his Jawbone bluetooth headset. It turns out that when he made calls over UMA while on Bluetooth he would drop the call. This did not happen with his old Jawbone but only with the new Jawbone [...]

At last ! Let’ hope this type of solution spreads for here. A Pre-Paid BlackBerry data package would open the device up to even more users. No more stuffing around trying to get your BlackBerry enabled for global roaming when you go overseas. (Not to mention any nasty surprise data roaming bills when you get [...]

All of you CDMA users realize that Verizon and Sprint are the last to receive any OS update love. So it was nice when one of our readers, Paul, dropped me a tip that they have update their OS on 5/30/2008. The new features in the latest OS are miniscule but still nice to see:
Verizon [...]

Chad sold out! I guess this means that Verizon will take the title of the largest wireless network by buying the 5th largest.
Personally I tried reading all this stuff in the press release made by Vodaphone about the acquisition but I don’t understand half of it. Personally it set off my bullshit detector… I couldn’t [...]

There have been rumblings about this for quite awhile now but it seems like things are getting closer to a decision. Darren Murph of Engadget is reporting that Verizon is once again in talks with Alltel to broker a deal. The latest update originates from CNBC.
I don’t understand much of the background but to me [...]

Personally I don’t talk on the my cell very often at all so unlimited plans are useless to me. On the other hand I know quite a few families who are horrified by their ridiculously large cell bills each month from their chatty kids. They all got suckered by the “add a line for only [...]

Well that is not entirely true since it will be in effect for tethering with your BlackBerry. After BoyGenius reported about the 5Gb data cap for Sprint. Cnet got a response from them that the cap will not be exactly the same as Verizon and AT&T’s cap.
The new cap will only apply to tethering and [...]

Sorry guys I read this facetious article on TechCrunch and I just had to share. In it Erick Schonfeld tries to correlate the rise of cell tower technicians deaths with the faster 3G rollout by AT&T.
You can get a taste from this excerpt:
Since April 12th, six cell-tower technicians have fallen to their deaths, and at [...]

The IT News has just published a press release whereby MO-Call announces the addition of the Blackberry platform to their list of supported phones. I had never heard of MO-Call before, but apparently it is popular in the UK. If you crave using their service but never did because your Blackberry was not supported, you’ve [...]
