BoyGenius scored some interesting info on AT&T. Turns out that the AT&T is FINALLY releasing OS 4.5 for the 8120, 8300, 8310, & 8820. Notably missing off that list is the 8100, 8110, & 8800. I guess they are second class citizens… The official versions will most likely be older than the current batch of [...]

After T-Mobile added their extremely cheap ($2 for the whole family) Family Allowance feature it was only a matter of time before other carriers jumped in. Verizon is next with a much more expensive offering of $4.99 per line for the ability to set limitations on voice minutes, messaging, schedules, content filters and whitelists/blacklists. Personally [...]

Not sure if this is such a crazy deal but a friend of mine was looking to upgrade to a 8110 and I found this deal for him on WireFly through TechBargains. Essentially the Pearl is free with a new activation and you get a free TrueBlue Bluetooth headset. If you are already under [...]

BoyGenius has scored some of Nextel’s upcoming lineup for 2008. Inside the coverage was some great information and screencandy on the 8350i Nextel iDen Curve. I am sure many Nextel fans will love appreciate the fact that RIM packed this 2 year old device with a nice software overhaul (OS 4.6) and a ton of [...]

BBNews has been on a roll recently with some great leaked info. They got some details about the upcoming launch of more colorful Pearls, the 8220, & the Javelin on T-Mobile. The sad part is that it looks like a 3G Bold is not coming to T-Mobile until 2009 since you wont be able to [...]

I am not so into the whole touchscreen idea myself but Fudzilla is reporting that the Thunder is scheduled to launch on Verizon on October 8th. David Stellmack does qualify that prediction by saying that it still needs to “clean the final Verizon hurdles.”
Not much else new other than the fact that it will [...]

Now this is an interesting turn of events. David just sent me a news article detailing how Verizon’s current contract with their union expires at 11:59PM on Saturday. Both the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Over 65,000 members) have voted to strike if a new 5 year deal [...]

T-Mobile is introducing a new feature today that lets parents limit what their children can do on their cellphones. I think AT&T has something similar but it costs more if I remember correctly. T-Mobile is offering this for a very reasonable $2/month for the whole family. The $2/month seems to be a limited time offer [...]

Sprint has finally released the Airave home cellphone tower that we mentioned before. The price is still too high in my opinion but the idea is very interesting. PhoneScoop just let us know that the Airave is now available for purchase from Sprint for $99.99.
The pricing breaks down like this:
$4.99/month to use the Airave but [...]
