There have been quite a few leaks regarding the BlackBerry KickStart. It will be the first flip phone coming from RIM so it will be interesting to see how it fairs.
Kevin @ CrackBerry managed to get his hands on a pre-production model of the KickStart and has completed a review of the hardware inside [...]

I am not sure if I am the first to notice this but there is a new link on the BlackBerry Help page at mobile.blackberry.com. It now lets you search to see what instant messaging applications are available for your BlackBerry.
Just go to www.blackberry.com/instantmessaging/ from your BlackBerry!
You then click the search button and [...]

Richard just let me know that the BlackBerry 4.6 JDE (Java Development Environment) was just released in public beta. This has to be a first for RIM. A public beta. Who would have thought… RIM IS listening!
Developers have been complaining to RIM for quite awhile that OS 4.6 and the Bold are right around the [...]

SanaTizer just sent in a tip that RIM has posted BES 4.1.6 on their website. That means that Service Pack 6 of BES 4.1 is now official! This is a bit of a surprising move to me but hey I won’t complain.
BES 4.1.6 brings:

Support for IBM [...]

RIM just published a knowledgebase article on how to enable the Enterprise-only message application icon in BES 4.1 Service Pack 5. This includes the SQL script you have to run to enable this feature!!!
This icon filters your email to only show you your work or BES emails! Kind of like Empower’s BES mailbox. It will [...]

For some reason the latest OS 4.5 for the 8100 series is much harder to find online. I just got a tip from Secret Agent 003 that the latest OS 4.5.0.52 beta for the 8100 is now making its rounds on the web. Sadly this leaves 8110, 8120, & 8130 users out in the cold but [...]

UPDATE: From what I am hearing the current implementation of Nuance on the Bold is just a replacement for the previous Voice Signal voice dialing application. There are rumblings that it might be extended to device control.
Once again we have some new information from Secret Agent 001 about the upcoming BlackBerry Bold. Nuance essentially means [...]

Secret Agent 001 also sent us this follow up picture of the Javelin side. I am kind of surprised that nobody mentioned this peculiarity before with all the Javelin pictures floating around the web. Or maybe I just missed the mention.
Usually we ignore most rumors but this one actually makes a difference. It seems like [...]

Secret Agent 001 sent in some pictures he/she took with their BlackBerry Curve of the upcoming Javelin. I thought you would enjoy so here you go. I will follow up with one interesting peculiarity in the Javelin but that is for another post. Secret Agent 001 said that they actually preferred the Javelin to the [...]

Nanko Rusev of PhoneArena has been keeping his ear to the ground. He found the AT&T Bold approval from the FCC on their site. This is the AT&T version with UMTS 850/1900 which will be different than the T-Mobile version since they run 3G on a different band.
I guess this means that we will be [...]
