Daraius sent me an email yesterday that really surprised me. Do you remember the BlackBerry Professional Software (BPS) RIM was pushing a bit back? It was supposed to be a light BES for small businesses. Daraius told me that BPS is still languishing on version 4.1.4. That means no HTML emails or attachment downloading.
I would [...]

Deja Vu… I wonder if RIM gets sued every week and we just don’t hear about it. I was just reading an article in the Chicago Tribune over the weekend about how RIM is being sued once again over some network patent. A company called Aloft Media LLC seems to think that the BlackBerry 8320 [...]

Every month or so I get an email from RIM asking me to fill out a survey for their market research. I did not have a chance to check out the survey myself until Bryan brought it to my attention. While filling out the current survey he noticed that a good half of the survey [...]

Sorry in advance since I know many of you will miss out on this promotion. Josep just sent me a link to a thread on PinStack by GuitarFreak. Turns out that RIM is offering 1000 free copies of Guitar Hero III on a first come first serve basis.
I had to register again for the [...]

Just got this tip from Monyet. It’s interesting to see that the BlackBerry Bold OS 4.6.0.92 was just officially released by Optus. Does that mean that Optus is releasing the Bold forthwith?

Back in 2007 we kept on hearing about the virtual BlackBerry experience coming to Windows Mobile 6.0. Even as far back as the T-Mobile dash was supposed to support it. Then we heard about an upcoming virtual BlackBerry experience for Symbian and that also has yet to pass. The DLL files have already been in [...]

I usually don’t pay much attention to these promotions in the Owners Lounge but Fabian pointed them out to me. Nothing crazy like a free $10 gift certificate but some interesting discounts and free trials.
Free six-month subscription to Fast Company - US Only
Free 3-month exclusive offer on Pocket Express Elite
Save 50% on GreenFinder - Golf [...]

I know I was wondering where the current OS device simulators were until Richard enlightened me. It turns out that after OS 4.3 RIM has started bundling the device simulators for 4.5 and now with 4.6 into the JDE. They are no longer available for download separately.
I have had quite a few people ask me [...]

Stefano just let me know that Vodafone just released a version of Desktop Manager 4.6. I tried installing it and it worked in English so it should work for you.
This is an official RIM released version so it should be stable. I did not see mediasync in this version.

MediaSync has been out unofficially for quite awhile now so it was about time for it to be released. Nothing new seems to be added to this release but let me know if you do find anything. It essentially allows you to sync your non-DRM music and playlists from iTunes to your BlackBerry. You need [...]
