Michael & Josep sent me a link to a post by one of the admins of the official BlackBerry support forums. Turns out that Unite! that we have all grown to love is now available in North America. In short this just means that you don’t have to download it from a Canadian IP [...]

BlackBerry HTML Email - What You Can & Can’t Do

While reading this knowledge base article on RIM’s site I ran into a bit of a snag. You can read what I mean below:
Important: HTML content cannot be created when forwarding, replying to, or composing a new email message.
So how long will it take for us to be able to send emails that are not [...]

FAQ: The BIS 2.5 Startup Guide - HTML Email And All

RIM has provided some good guides on how to setup BIS 2.5 and what you can do with it. Remzi has done me a favor and emailed a few my way. Let me know if I missed any.

BoyGenius Scores BIS 2.5 Presentation From RIM

Another Americas Outage July 5th… Early Morning

Seriously its like we get an outage or two a week. I feel bad for technicians on call 24/7. Can’t RIM build their network infrastructure to reroute traffic to another datacenter?
Thanks to Raffy for sending this one in. Joe Sanders just posted on www.dataoutages.com that there will be another outage on July 5th from 2AM [...]

Canadians Get Airline Mileage For Buying A BlackBerry

Not sure if anybody still uses airline mileage but if you do this is an added perk of buying a Berry. I just got an email from RIM that they are giving 200 miles for 1 Berry and 500 for 2 new purchased Berrys.
What will RIM think of next? All I want is better service and software. [...]

This won’t make a difference to most readers but I thought it would be worthy of mention. Richard just let me know that the BlackBerry JDE (Java Development Environment) has been released to the public. Some of the BlackBerry partners already have access to the 4.6 JDE…
