Graduate to BlackBerry and you could graduate debt free!

I just received this notification from RIM on what seems to be quite an offer for students, at least when it comes to the Prize Offerings. The $50 bonus offer expires at 11:59 PM EST on November 30th. RIM reserves the right to terminate the offer before this date.

Win With BlackBerry - Chance To Win A Lincoln MKS

These types of promotions seem to be doing pretty well. The promotion the weather channel ran a few months back broke all records for their website. They had more than a 35% bump in traffic and over 700,000 entries for their contest.
Douglas at BlackBerryCool spotted a promotion that RIM & Ford are offering where you [...]

Mobile.BlackBerry.com Adds 12 New Free Ringtones

Tricia just let us know that RIM has put up 12 new ringtones on their mobile.BlackBerry.com website. Nothing crazy here but I checked out a few of them and they were actually pretty good. Sadly there is no way to try them out from your PC but you can check them out by heading [...]

BlackBerry Developer Conference Early Bird Registration Ends August 31st - Anybody Going?

RIM sent out a reminder yesterday that the BlackBerry Developer Conference early bird registration discount is over at the end of August. In short that means $799 instead of $999. The conference is on October 21 and 22 in Santa Clara, California. The deadline for papers is today. I wonder if they got anything interesting…

Developer Betas Of BlackBerry MDS Studio 2.0 & BlackBerry Plug-in 1.1 for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008

Josep just let me know about the release of these two betas. From the forums it seems like they were released about 2 weeks ago so I am sure many of you know about it already. For those of you who didn’t (including myself) consider this a heads up. Feel free to rag on [...]

BlackBerry KickStart Spec Sheet Shows Up

Nothing groundbreaking over here but we just got this sent in as a tip. Below you will see the spec sheet for the KickStart from back in February. I don’t think that much has changed since then other than it now being called the 8220 Pearl. I was sad to notice that the KickStart will [...]

BlackBerry Unite! Officially Available In More Countries

Josep sent me a link to a post on the RIM support forums. Turns out that Unite! has now be officially released in more languages to more locations. I guess that means RIM is finally going to do away with the IP restrictions…

Windows Live Messenger 2.1.36 Released

Tashanna & Josep let me know that RIM has released Windows Live Messenger 2.1.36. This is an update from 2.1.32 released last month. There does not seem to be much new in this release but a few users are reporting that it works on T-Mobile now. Take that for what its worth.
You can pick [...]

RIM Shows You How To Follow The Olympics On Your Berry

I was heading to mobile.blackberry.com on my friends berry and ran into a new message at the top of the page. Turns out that RIM created a page of links that you can use to follow the upcoming Olympics on your BlackBerry. Nothing groundbreaking here since their are only homescreen shortcuts or applications (like Viigo).

Registration Open For BlackBerry Developer Conference

I just got an email from RIM that registration is now open for the BlackBerry Developer Conference we told you about before. As a reminder it is in Santa Clara, CA on October 21st and 22nd. I wonder if they got any responses to their call for papers they announced a month ago. If you [...]
