I have introduced many BlackBerry users to the built in Smart Dialing feature that many of them were unfamiliar with. This feature is extremely useful for setting up your BlackBerry device to understand how to handle your companies phone system extensions. RIM has done us all a favor and explained the feature in detail in [...]

Spencer_CDS has posted an update to his great tutorial on BlackBerryForums.com on how to get the RIM Yahoo client to work on AT&T. For all of you who are privlidged enough to have Yahoo working on your carrier just ignore this post. AT&T has never provided the service books required to get Yahoo messenger working [...]

I have to say that the BlackBerry OS has less lag than the other smartphone OS’s but in some regards it is underpowered. It seems that RIM has taken this to heart and released a Knowledgebase article on how to optimize your BlackBerry so that it performs at the best of its capablity. Check out [...]

RIM really seems to be cranking out discounts today. I also received notice today about a discount on the much acclaimed BlackBerry Pearl Powerstation. This is the desktop charger that charges your Berry, BlackBerry Bluetooth Headset, and a spare battery all at the same time. The regular price is $99.99 which is quite steep for [...]

Simon at BBcool just tipped me off to a new Facebook application that will be coming out for BlackBerry devices. This is an application designed by RIM so it should integrate nicely with your BlackBerry. It seems that RIM is really serious about penetrating the consumer market. This is going to give the T-Mobile Sidekick [...]

I just gleaned some interesting info from an article by Daisuke Wakabayashi of Reuters about Microsoft’s latest attempt to compete with RIM.
“The Microsoft System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 will allow technology administrators to send applications to phones, control security and generally simplify management of devices.” Microsoft wants to be for the high-end mobile device [...]

We usually do not cover British wireless carriers but I just read an interesting article on Reuters by Vinicy Chan about a new feature to be added to Vodaphone that I thought would interest everybody. It seems that Vodaphone will soon be the first BlackBerry provider to offer an unlimited music service that works on [...]

I have been asked numerous times about which frequency(s) each BlackBerry device supports. RIM has now made this easy by publishing a knowledgebase article that specifies every Berry since the DataTAC 850 combined with the frequencies and technology that it supports. As a side note it also mentions the current BlackBerry OS’s available for each [...]
