I know quite a few of you have been watering at the mouth about the BlackBerry 8120 coming to AT&T. Personally I cant do without a QWERTY keyboard but I understand. We know that the 8120 is now available for Business customers at this link on AT&T’s website. Our pal Gary at ViralElectronics.com just found the OS 4.3 download available on AT&T’s [...]

Every few months I get an email from RIM asking me if I want to assist them with a new market survey. The all seem to have the same questions and then throw in the screwball questions.
They go from: “How would you rate your post-sale BlackBerry experience?”
To the esoteric: “How would you rate the information emailed [...]

I know this will only interest the developers out there I still think it is worthy of mention. We have been hearing about this Eclipse plugin for quite awhile and now it is finally available. You can see a screenshot of it below:
I know quite a few developers who like the Eclipse environment so hopefully [...]

Magmic released two new interesting games over the weekend. One of them, Leisure Suit Larry, is an old time classic. I cant wait to try both out. Both are pretty cool looking role playing games. I guess Magmic & bPlay are really trying to define the BlackBerry as a viable role playing platform. Sadly due [...]

I would almost call it a disorder. RIM has always reminded me of a teenager caught in the act when it comes to admitting a mistake. They downplay all of the problems and stay as vague and ambiguous as possible with the answers.
It seems to be standard procedure for RIM and journalists are starting to [...]

Elizabeth Woyke of Forbes.com has a great article about the need for creative developers. The whole article describes how large corporations are doing all they can to foster growth in their developer community. Companies such as AT&T and Apple realize that offering bounties and other incentives/help will actually be in their own benefit.
Elizabeth also mentions [...]

This has the be the best bit of news I have heard all week. Puretracks is a pretty big digital music provider which has contracts with the likes of Universal, Sony, EMI, and Warner so they have all they need to bring this baby to life.
The best part is that Puretracks will be DRM [...]

When I first read this article, “BlackBerry Server Ripe For Hacking,” on Techworld I was shocked and had to read. I guess I am a sucker for titles. So I read the article and from what I am understanding there is an issue with CERTAIN implementations of BES that could open backdoors through your BES. The [...]

Cellpassion got the scoop on the latest round of patents by RIM. These new patents have nothing to do with touchscreens or sliding keyboards but rather with locking down the camera on BlackBerrys. Many companies have just been issuing 8800 Series devices since they have no cameras but RIM has some pretty innovative ideas on [...]

I know this is a bit of old news (being almost a week old ) but I found it interesting when reading about the new patent from RIM called “Hybrid Portrait-Landscape Handheld Device With Trackball Navigation and Qwerty Hideaway Keyboard.”
Personally it looks like a ton of other HTC Windows Mobile devices. I guess the slider [...]
