Recently I was using Picasa and had a bit of a flashback. During CES back in January RIM demoed a fully working copy of a Picasa Web Albums application for BlackBerry. I had it in my hand and it worked like a charm.

In a surprising move RIM has decided to take down the OS 4.5.0.37 from their partners website at www.BlackBerryuniverse.com. I wonder what prompted that?

Personally I think that RIM is always focusing on the cup half empty. This is the wrong approach. They should promote public beta testing to allow them to fix more of their bugs [...]

Hayden of PinStack has a sharp eye. He noticed that the www.discoverblackberry.com portal has been merged into www.blackberry.com. DiscoverBlackBerry.com was the portal for individuals to separate the business BlackBerry users from the consumer BlackBerry users. For example the business section would cover BES and the consumer section would showcase the MP3 player and camera.

Just got another notice from Joe at Dataoutages.com and confirmed by Remzi. Turns out there is an outage scheduled for North America next week. From what I am gathering this is an update to the BIS 2.4 servers. Anybody know if they are upgrading to BIS 2.5?

If your part of the countries included in the Asia Pacific region you might want to read this. The admin of BB-Outages has confirmed two outages happening over this weekend. RIM is getting ready for the BIS 2.5, which supports HTML emails and has lots of other updates.
