Virtual BlackBerry Technical Seminar 2008 July 9th

Just thought I would let those who are interested know that RIM is having their Virtual BlackBerry Technical Seminar on July 9th.
Just to get an idea of the seminar. It is targeted towards administrators, CIO’s and developers with content for each. RIM’s CIO Robin Bienfait will be the keynote so that should be interesting.
Essentially they [...]

RIM Adds Homescreen Shortcut For Washington Post

I know many people read the Washington Post so I thought I would mention that RIM has created a homescreen shortcut for their mobile website.
You can pick it up at this link from your Berry
This really makes me wonder why they still have not created a shortcut for their mobile.blackberry.com website… Or better yet just [...]

Desktop Manager 4.6 Found In The Wild

Seriously RIM has been having fun recently with these planned leaks. I have been getting emails all weekend with links to Desktop Manager 4.6 showing up all over online.
I guess maybe this is RIM’s way to open up a public beta test? Version 4.5 is also pretty easy to find.
Once again two screenshots of Desktop [...]

Sadly BlackBerry Thunder Will Not Work On AT&T & T-Mobile

This Verizon Exclusive & AT&T Exclusive setup is really starting to get to me with the BlackBerry Thunder & Bold. Here is the latest juicy rumor…
BoyGenius noted yesterday with some detail that the BlackBerry Thunder will not have the GSM radios necessary to work on any North American carrier. The GSM functionality will be for roaming [...]

BlackBerry Bold Shows Up On AT&T Website

Alexandre of www.blackberry-fr.com just let me know that AT&T has put up a page about the upcoming BlackBerry bold on their business website. Not much that we don’t know other than the “Exclusively from AT&T” all over the site.

Does this mean that the Bold will be AT&T only? Or will the just have a simple [...]

Is WiFi/UMA Conflicting With Your Bluetooth?

I got an email last week from Paul detailing how he was having problems with his T-Mobile 8320 and his Jawbone bluetooth headset. It turns out that when he made calls over UMA while on Bluetooth he would drop the call. This did not happen with his old Jawbone but only with the new Jawbone [...]

RIM Adds Shortcut To Goal.com For EURO2008

Get your Football (What we Americans call Soccer) fix this year with a shortcut to m.goal.com on your homescreen. Personally I think you can just shortcut this yourself with a bookmark but RIM likes to create shortcuts for us. It makes them feel productive.
I am not much of a Football person so here is [...]

Bplay Releases The Incredible Hulk For BlackBerry

Your Berry is bound to go green with this game. Bplay has been doing an amazing job of pushing out other games from the BlackBerry beyond plain jane card games. Their latest is a smash em up game based on the Hulk movie. Sadly there is no trial but hopefully we will get off our [...]
