Our anonymous tipster also showed us an interesting screenshot of the files installed by the upcoming BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.5. I guess Josep was on the money when he caught the Symbian files.
Turns out that when you install Desktop Manager 4.5 it installs two new DLL files in the Common files folder shown below:

I just got word that RIM has just released some of the development tools for OS 4.6 to their BlackBerry Universe Partners.

Simon at BBCool has gotten some more confirmation on the feature sets of OS 4.5 and 4.6. OS 4.5 is still set to release this summer for everything but the 8707 which is what we expected. I am surprised it is including the 8703 versions but that has happened before.

It seems like RIM has returned from WES with some real action plans. They have just released BlackBerry OS 4.5.0.37 Bundle 52 to their BlackBerry partners. This is promising news since it usually means that the official OS 4.5 release is not that far off.

BGR (Boy Genius Report) are having a great week over there. They have just released an article stating the touchscreen BlackBerry, codenamed “Thunder”, (heaps better name than “Bold”) will be released in Q3 of this year.
